A revitalized the Russian player won his first trophy for 882 days with success over Corentin Moutet in the Almaty Open final.
The Russian, a ex- top-ranked player, has experienced a torrid year, managing just one win at the Grand Slams and undergoing a setback at the American major.
His varied form on the ATP Tour - and issues with his service game in especial - caused him dropping out of the top ten and eventually separating with long-term coach Cervara.
Currently training with Johansson and his other coach, Medvedev has gradually advanced in the past month - climaxing in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over opponent Corentin Moutet.
It is his initial title since the Rome competition and initial on a hard surface after spring of 2023.
Success also means he has won twenty-one championships at twenty-one different tournaments.
"For the first time I have attended a tournament with my children simultaneously, so to win a trophy is particularly special," said ranked player Medvedev.
"This title is in tribute of my younger daughter my daughter, because the initial championship I won when my older daughter her name was delivered was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his previous six finals, including in the German tournament earlier this year.
His counter-punching strategy and regular reactions on the tennis court had caused commentators to question if his skill to perform at the top level was over.
But the athlete has made changes in the last few weeks, making an effort to advance forward and play aggressively, reinforced by an better serve.
Medvedev recovered from a break down in the initial set against the challenging Frenchman, winning four of the concluding five points to go ahead.
Both players traded break points in the second set before the Frenchman, striving for his maiden ATP Tour victory, gained dominance to force a third set.
Moutet defended 4 early-game opportunities in a tight deciding set before the champion broke to that score to close out the victory.
Fittingly, Medvedev earned the win with a point at the net, with the Frenchman failing to manage a volley after two hours and 38 minutes.
